About Legal Camp
Legal, code, free and open source software, open innovation and beers !
Legal Camp is an open event held in Paris to promote the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge on Free culture (including FOSS), as well as the development and promotion of good practices in the field.
Everyone from different backgrounds (lawyers, developers and any people aiming to work on or suggest a legal projects) will be welcome.
Our goal is to bring together people interested in creative & collaborative practices (including FOSS & open content). They will present their projects, share their experiences and thoughts, and bring out real projects.
For instance, projects can be FOSS licenses compatibility tools, common platforms, tools like SPDX, project like ShareLex, etc.
- Agenda: during the morning, presentation of submitted projects followed by a collective debate ; barcamp session (workgroups by interest) the afternoon.
- Who: corporate lawyers / attorneys, developers / designers, makers / project managers, students / PhD
Legal Camp is an open & free of charge event coorganized for the first time by EOLE (European Open source and free software Law Event) and 'La Cantine”.
EOLE aims to promote the sharing and dissemination of legal knowledge on Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) licences, as well as the development and promotion of good practices in the field.
La Cantine, from Silicon Sentier, is a technology focused “coworking” or collaborative workplace.
ShareLex is a Peer production tool applied to legal issues. ShareLex intends to be a resource for citizens, entrepreneurs and lawyers. ShareLex’s breathes thanks to radical collaboration between citizens, entrepreneurs, lawyers, students, teachers…
